Tolman played the role of a woman in the ABC drama series Downward Dog in 2017, inspired by Animal Media Group's web series. It was cancelled after one season. Tolman appeared in ABC's Emergence drama which premiered on the 24th of September, 2019, however it was canceled by ABC after one year in May of 2020. even though Tolman tweeting she thought the ratings were "pretty decent". Her guest appearances in the NBC show NBC Good Girls were also cited as a source. She played Alma Filcott in season two of Why Women Kill.
